Session 1:
Introduction to Basic Instructional Techniques. Which include:
- Understanding the trainer’s role.
- Communication techniques
- Presentation skills
- Styles of learning
- Instructional techniques
- Training aids and when appropriate to use
- Confirming learning has taken place
Session 2:
A step by step breakdown of a manual handling presentation including:
- Each slide discussed and background information provided
- Legislation and sources of information
- Practical training in conducting:
- Standard lift
- Two person lift
- Pulling and pushing
Session 3:
Practical- delegates prepare and deliver a selected element of their manual handling presentation and conduct a practical assessment under the observation of the tutor
On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a Certificate of Competence.
