C&G Electrical Skills Workshop

This electrical skills workshop aims to provide a fundamental understanding of electrical circuits and wiring practices. Throughout the workshop, participants will gain hands-on experience installing various electrical circuits typically found in homes, including cooker, socket, and lighting circuits.

Completion of this course does not qualify participants to perform electrical work without supervision. However, the skills acquired may be utilised to assist, under supervision, within an electrical team. This introductory course serves as an excellent gateway into the electrical field.

This workshop constitutes the first week of our diploma and apprenticeship programs. Participants wishing to pursue further training to become qualified electricians will not need to repeat this initial week.

They will also learn to work safely, ensuring that installations are properly isolated. The course will cover the use of 70-degree thermoplastic flat cables (twin and earth) and include wiring circuits from consumer units, along with conducting basic tests to verify the safety of the installations before they are energised.
